Protected Time to Imagine & Co-create a Healthy Multiracial Future

AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

The current frenzy of modern life and the organized opposition to equity work leads many experienced racial/social justice practitioners to burn-out and hopelessness.

Enterculture, an immersive, experiential workshop, offers time and space to pivot from problem to possibility, activating your creativity, passion, and hope.

Through music, play, storytelling, dialogue, and self-reflection, you will interact with your guides, the other participants, and the environment to co- create the racial equity future that we desire. During this journey you will:

  • Tap into the somatics of your body and brilliance of your heart and mind.
  • Explore Ginwright’s four pivots, systems thinking, and the Equity Roadmap©.

Testimonials
Dear Team, Thank you for an amazing day of learning, exploration, healing and validation. As a school leader, I am aware of the need to build a better system for the future. This experience today demonstrated a model and a way to disrupt the system with love and care for all which is what I needed at this point in my life.
Thank you for including me in this experience at a time of year when I feel most depleted. This day gave me the nourishment I so needed to energize me towards doing more D E I work in all aspects of my life. This experience was incredibly rich and beautiful, while still challenging me to open my mind and engage and think about some painful and important issues that persist. I will continue to be more than awake. I will remain alive. Thank you.
Today's Enterculture experience was unlike any other experience I have had before in my Equity Journey; it was active; it was experiential; it was painstakingly curated and it felt personal to the guides who created it. Thank you for this unique and intentional experience which will inspire the next steps in my work.
Dear Mirah, Christine Corrie and Rahul. Wow- what a day! I'm not at all surprised by the intensity of my emotions in this moment and how exhausted, in the best possible (adrenaline-rush kind of way), I am. The experiential nature of Whim was disorienting and deep and so beautiful. The ability to process in a drum-circle was unique and empowering. The lunch was delicious and the activities to activate our creativity were dope. Best of all the relationships and connections I made in service of our babies and a better future. So grateful.
This has been an experience like no other. Heavy at times but needed to break bias and other factors that stand in our way to promote, create and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. I've learned from others, and I hope they have learned from me. Thank you, Collective. You have created a pathway to spark change that all should schedule PD around; it brings the human side to things.
In the beginning the world was covered with a coconut shell in complete darkness maui, the god, also known as Lumas in the pre-colonial philippines, push the shell up and away from the Earth and birds flew out in all directions and light sprawled across the land and the sun was able to shine in communion with the beans and with the land. Today was a day of freestyle flight, a constellation of compasses all moving us relentlessly towards Justice with courage and with joy. Here breath is how we flow, how we stay nourished and stay in flight dreaming higher of the world where we are whole and free. thank you for this time to reset, envision, and connect with other practitioners in this work. all roads lead to Whim.
Thank you for a day unlike any I have had in my lifetime. This experience has been meaningful and thoughtful. My group was amazing and I loved the tours. Such deep comments by everyone and I could come back tomorrow for more. Everything was so well planned and organized. We all needs more opportunities like this to sustain us.
This workshop/pd was not what I expected at all in the best way possible. I came in expecting a very left brain rigidly structured Workshop, and became immersed into a full body, comfortable, immersive right brain creative experience. it helped me realize that rigidly focused on goals whereas free creativity approach to equity work has no bounds no limit. I needed this on many levels.
We need spaces like this for Spirit driven exploratory conversation about DEI. I needed to adjust my expectations. This was far different from standard workshop experiences I have had. Excellent design work here!
Thank you for this opportunity! I appreciate how there were many elements that were “different” from the typical PD Workshop experience. It complements the idea and the need to imagine a different and more healthy future. It seems that a part two or part three, even part four might be needed to continue to extend this collective, this effort.
Thank you, thank you thank you! This was such a thoughtful, well put together experience. I appreciated all of the prompts and activities with built-in time to discuss with our peers. You have created something so spectacular and unique that will continue to impact my equity journey for a long time. Gracias.
